In the woods documents the discovery of the body of an inhabitant of the future utopian fantasy world No Place, created by Saya Woolfalk. As the artist founder of the group of Empathics, she and the rest of her group set up a greenhouse to excavate the site. They come to believe that the bones were sent to them by these future inhabitants.
